Engine light on again???

Its been 822 miles since the car was picked up from Courtenays and today the engine light came on. I'd been out for a Sunday afternoon drive with the wife and kids and I was a few miles from home on the return stretch when I decided to give it some welly. The redline was breached in 2nd gear and the light appeared. The car still ran normally and i've since disconnected the battery and the light has now gone out.

I also had a bit of an issue with the air-con this afternoon too. Its been a few months since I last used it and when I switched it on, my engine revs went upto 2500rpm then back down to 1500 and then up and back down. It was all over the place. That has also settled down now, but I can't think what would have caused it??

Hmmm odd that m8....get her plugged in somewehere and see wot the stored codes are,

Had the same prob with my aircon a while bk,,,aint got a clue wot caused it and it aint happened since..

I had exactly the same problem :shock:

1) check your egr valve, it might be sticking
I blanked mine off and the valve couldn't open, so I drilled a hole to allow the valve to move - but still left the other hole blanked off

2)the aircon uses a different map on the ecu and this needs to relearn the parameters, you need to drive very carefully for 50 miles or so with the aircon on 🙁
