I'm new here and I'm really hoping someone might be able to assist me as I'm really in a pickle over my wifes car.
The Car in question: Vauxhall Zafira Life Auto 2.2 2006. Engine Z22YH
A couple of weeks ago went in for recall work (The Aircon Resistor Issue) and came back fine, a few days later my wife was driving and the car just lost all power for no reason. She pulled up stopped the car and restarted it and all was fine.
The car drove normally for a week and then out of no where she went out and the car would not accelerate with her foot to the floor, it just idle'd along so we took it home and topped up the oil.
This had no effect and we found that we could start the car and idle but if we put the car in gear right away the engine cuts out instantly when you try to move, if you give it some time and get it revving up in neutral you can infact drive the car but as soon as you slow down the car seems lose all power and tries to cut out and when you speed up starts to go back to normal.
The EML Light is illuminated but computers on the car are showing no faults at all.
The engine is shuddering a lot when its started and as previously stated is awful at low rev's but seems to be OK once you get it up to speed.
Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this issue, I've looked at multiple options but can't find a solution and the lack of an engine code to explain at least what part of the car is causing this is making it even more of a pain to get my hear round.
Sorry its a long post but any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I have looked into EGR Problems as had to blank my Astra but I can't seem to find the EGR Valve on her vehicle.
