jammy hi folks, my 2.2 astra taps a bit when cold but i dont think its the tappits not getting oil as they tap all of the time (usually), it only taps under load......worryingly my cav started to tap when the big end was on its way out!!!! eeeeeek does any body elses car do this? if needed i can get an audio clip. hope its nothing major, its just its started doing it in the last month or so and ive owned the car for 2 years and its been quiet up untill now 🙁
vocky there is another known problem with the z22se :shock: it can 'throw' a big end cap, this is caused by running with a low oil level this will destroy the block if it goes, so you will have to get it checked ASAP 🙁
