Hey
Well the Astra has been running like a Swiss watch since replacing the Coil Pack. Unfortunately today i was taking my heavily pregnant wife to the hospital when the battery light started flickering and then every conceivable warning light lit up and power was lost to all the dials, radio and lights and power steering. The engine was still running though.
I found somewhere to pull over and a kind police officer took my wife to the hospital while i had to leave the car and beg borrow and steal to get public transport with my 3 year old though town and eventually back home 30 miles away to pick up my defender and then collect family and co.
When i returned to the car it started and ran fine and power steering was back. Does anyone have any experiences of this or suggest what it could be?
I did consider the ECU breaking down when its hot but would that effect power steering?
Any suggestions would be welcome, Ill be attempting to move the car tomorrow morning.
