Off sick today, started feeling terrible yesterday, looks like its that stupid bug/virus thats going about that makes your throat rough as fcuk and your body feeling like its been run over! Plus a cough

I quite like doing the 12 hour shifts, because for every 12 hour shift I work, I get a day off. So in a month, I do 7 12 hour days, and 7 12 hour nights, and 2 weeks off.

well im sat here freeziung my **** off as my boiler has once again broke :roll:

council did come straight out as i sort of lost it on the phone to them :evil:

any way he came and said he cant do any thing as its the pump thats gone and it keeps blowing the fuse, well day 2 now and still no heating and hot water 🙁

hows every 1 then?

Hope you get it sorted soon. Our boiler keep making a funny noise, i have wacked the pressure up and it seems to have cured it a bit just hope it holds out as i can not afford to get it fixed at the moment.

Just got back from work glad today is over. Some IT Users i tell you. I got a call just as i am leaving.

(user)I can not find the reporting system
(me) ok. is not on the desktop (had to explain what the desktop was ) NO ok go to my computer Etc this mapped drive this loction.
we finally got there after 10 minutes.
(me) Right just double left click on that icon.
(user) Hmmm it's coming up with a box
(me) Yes it will then it will load.
(User)oooh it's stopped
This went on for some time.
(me) ok dont worry about it i will pop down and fix it.
(user) i am going to a meeting now can you still fix it? As i need it now
(me) shoudnt be a problem Where is the meeting?
(User) off site.
(me) hmm no i can not fix it off site, i actually need to physically have the laptop to fix it
(user) Ohh ok leave it while tomorrow.

I tell you. How i was going to fix a problem with out the hardware i have got no idea.

sorry rant over!

Thats shocking, especially at this time of year!!

Bet if you was an old age pensioner it would have been sorted on day 1.

thats nothing tbh, last year i had to wait nearly 3 weeks to get it fixed and had no hot water or central heating, then on 23rd december it packed up again and council come nearly a week later only cause i then got a councillor

and now the boiler packed up again on satday and i rang them again today and they said there waiting on parts

ive got electric heater in my daughter and my sons room but ive got nothing in my room 🙁

im always going under my sunbed now to try and keep warm lol

any way still waiting for my boiler to be fixed, last night i was freeeezing and now already my house is cold again, looks like another night of my under sunbed to warm the room up and then i can get some sleep hopefully :roll:

Hiya Lisa,
Thats shocking about your heatin n hot water.
You have kids, so it should be a priority . . . i'd kick off more.

I'd die without my radiators, as its that cold here my car only
started to defrost at half 2ish, now its froze again.

Hi Lisa, as Tina says maybe you should kick up a fuss as you are left with no heating and no hot water and have children in the house.

It would be bad enough if you were on your own but to have children and no heating or hot water isn't really accpetable, kick some ass!!!

and sting them for a heating allowance, say you've had to
borrow electric heater/fire ???

I'd be doing my ends, ring the emergency number again . KICK OFF
they should be able to get parts for your boiler, i used to work for
a HVAC company . . .
and there are plenty wholesalers around that should have spares for
the council, the woolsley group supply to councils?
(we'll they did for the midlands)

As already said Lisa, kick up as big a fuss as possible. Like already said, they can't let you and your kids freeze.
