Buddha Hi everyone My 2002 astra convertible has started to run rough and miss. I have been able to get the followings fault codes P1512 Intake Manifold Runner Control (Bank 1) Stuck Closed P1514 High Load Neutral/Drive Fault and P2108 which relates to traction control according to the shop that read the codes which sounds right as the traction control light flashed several times Does anyone know what these codes relate to I have done some searching and the 1512 may be related to the TPS or throttle body. Does this mean the butterfly has possibly stuck closed . Any suggestions would be appreciated Cheers Scott
milo Hi Budda, I use this website as its a good help on trouble shooting http://www.datsc.com/tabid/122/OBD-Error-Code/p1512/Diagnostics/Vauxhall/Default.aspx
vocky P1512 Throttle minimum position not learned P1514 Airflow to Throttle Position Sensor Correlation High I would check the throttle body first, it might require cleaning.

Got to look at the throttle body and it was very dirty. Before cleaning the throttle position at idle was around 19% After cleaning and doing a relearn the throttle position was around 8/9% with no engine light or codes. Is this the normal position. But when driven the engine light came on and it had no power and I got the P1514 code again. But it has bigger problem now as it wont start at all. so further investigation is required.
Buddha After reading the post on a Z22YH not starting I think I may have a cam chain is as it was rattling badly the last time it ran and now when it turns over on the starter it sounds as if it has no compression. So I think it may have a cam chain and valve issue. Does this sound a likely scenario Scott
vocky if you remove the cam cover you can inspect the cam chain, it should be tight and not move up and down between the cam sprockets.
Buddha Have got it back together now after fitting 4 new intake valve and timing chains . It is running well and not throwing any codes. So I am thinking it had something to do with cam timing being out and upsetting the throttle body. Anyone got any other theory's
