tc and abs lights on

HI Guys hope all is well with yous. (y) both my abs and tc dashboard lights are staying on all the time. but my brakes are working good and no loss of powero_O. just looking for some direction to go in really. oh aye they were only coming on few and far between before the rebuild. could anyone recommend a cheap code reader to find whats wrong as mine dont read brake codes. cheers

I think op-com would be your best bet for brake related issues
There could be a broken wire or 1 of the plugs has somehow been disconnected, you could check for these possibilities in the meantime

thanks IDI ive checked the two front connectors all seems good, just need to do the same with the rear if i get a dry spell. im looking into a blue tooth sender unit to hook up to my android, they seem quite good. do you have any experience of these?cheers

Never had experience with a bluetooth device, i do have op-com which i got for 20 quid on ebay about a year and a half ago. although i have still never used it on my car. Just got a laptop a couple of months ago but i have lost the activation code for my op-com so i cant use it yet but i do know it has abs function on it .The cheap code readers really only tell you engine management related issues and only switch off the light they are not as technical as op-com.

But go for the bluetooth device to android if you can use it now then every little helps

You could also maybe have a faulty abs sensor . So that is 3 possibilities i have thrown your way maybe one of them is the culprit

Yes it is unusual as I had it running before on my pc but recently updated it maybe that's the problem

and this web page when I click online activation button
I sent my info but received no reply maybe cause it was bought so long ago

did you buy the £500 op-com ?
that guy is not going to give you access to the software with the china clone unit 🙂

I certainly did not. Maybe the update was for the £500 version I think I should try un installing and try again see what happens

It's often a abs plug that causes it, check the front sensor wires as they can touch the cv joint and wear through. If not remove plugs and clean the plugs with electrical contact cleaner.

install the copy from the disc provided 🙂
