Front engine mount query

So had a vibration lately so decided to check my front mount. Am running it with powerflex inserts in. Took it out and the inserts and the standard rubber in it are all fine, casing is all ok. But as I pushed it just with my fingers I found I could slide out the rubber mount from the housing. See pictures. There are also lots of knick markings inside the casing. Is this normal? Should there be enough clearance on the casing to slide the rubber mount out? Or does anyone think this is what could be causing the vibration? All opinions welcome.

it may just be enough to cause vibrations but then it might not
the rubber should not just push out the metal ring is ment to hold fast in the alloy

you could replace the mount for about £15 of put some kind of bearing fit glue on the alloy and push it back together
