identiti66 These will be the first to be changed so today I measured the diameter of my ARB and it's 21mm Looking at the Powerflex site, they do ARB bushes in 18, 20 and 22mm... guessing I'd use the 20mm?
identiti66 Confusion over, searching another retailer (not Powerflex direct) and they do 21mm http://www.suspension-bushes.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=70_437&products_id=667
figo126 id measure your arb I bought genuine gm of flea bay ,went for the smaller size n they where wrong , n you have to drop subframe on veccy c what a ball ache ,found out nothing wrong with them anyway ??????????? and a pain to get them back in ,,,,,
identiti66 I have measured the ARB, as I said in the first post.. and this is for the Vectra B (as per thread title).. :ROFLMAO:
KevinH That's a little strange, as the Vectra B's were originally fitted with front ARB's of 18mm, 19mm or 19.5mm diameter.
identiti66 Interesting.. I have zero knowledge of B's before this car but it's definitely 21mm... perhaps the SRi's had chunkier ones fitted?
KevinH Yes, I suppose that's possible, but can't find 21mm diameter ARB listed anywhere for Vec B's and in fact the 19.5mm is NLS (No Longer Stocked) and says to use the 19mm if replacing it.:confused: Might just measure the front ARB on my SRi out of interest, when I get a moment.
identiti66 The calipers I measured it with are pretty shit, think I need to re-measure (or measure the calipers with a decent ruler - if I can find where the missus has put them)... EDIT found 'em.. 21mm on the calipers is 20mm on my steel ruler... what nonsense is this!!. 1 set of calipers going in the bin
identiti66 Amendment to this caliper debacle. Found a new battery for the crappy calipers (the old battery didn't work at all, I was using the manual measurement) and, when the ruler part is measuring 21mm, the digital readout is actually 20mm.. so they measure correctly as long as you use the digital readout. Temporary reprieve from the bin.. unless they make me cross again. 20mm ARB it is..
