I moved my phone to TalkTalk a few months ago ready to be able to take their "free" broadband.
Well, I can now change, so called TalkTalk to see what they need, and what they can offer. After 40 mins holding, managed to get to speak to someone. Well, I say "speak", I basically spend 10 mins trying to get them to understand me. Basic English, yes, comprehension of the language...NO.
They said, "Yes, you can have upto 8mb". I didn't ask what I "could" have, I asked what I CAN get, "You can get upto 8mb". I didn't ask that!!!!
So, I'm not going with TalkTalk, as it could take upto 2 months to get the broadband moved, which means no web! I can't be dealing with that, as I need it for work.
So, called the compant who I'm with at the minute, Supanet. 2 mins to get through, spoke to a nice bloke, who was English 🙂
They tested my line, said you can have the Full 8mb which your exchange is cabable of, and they are doing it uncapped, for £5 less a month than I am paying now for 2mb/25gig. SPOT ON.
So, all I need to do it wait upto 12 days for a new username, and I'll have 8mb broadband.
