Hope this is in the right place, if not I'm totally down with it being relocated.
A week earlier than anticipated, the wife and I drove to sunny (and it was) Telford with the missus, to get the new chain kits fitted by the main man..
06:45 start and a super easy drive up on the A14 -> M6 -> M54 -> a maze of incredibly narrow, hedge lined lanes.. it's the first time, ever, I've driven past Birmingham on the M6 without it being more akin to a car park.. result!!..
Anyway, amid the tea and chat, the chains got sorted. Good job too since the balance chain was slacker than a <insert risque comment here> and the timing chain was the original one the car left the factory with (in spite of an engine rebuild at 90k under the previous owner).
Some bits had been enthusiastically tightened and there was some inappropriate use of sealant that had to be dealt with. Don't think there was any real drama apart from that.

Job done and we were on our way home at about 16:30.. got somewhat lost in the aforementioned maze of narrow, hedge-lined lanes and walked back through the front door around 19:40.. knackered.
