AGENTKB hi guys hope your all having a great weekend (y) ive just removed my balance chain in readiness for the refit. I was cleaning things up when i heard metal hit metal, thats weird i thought, hoping nothing had fallen into the sump! I had a good search about but found nothing. Then i heard it again and found the culprit. the balance shafts appear to have a loose ring in behind the sprocket. IDI_AMIN That is normal for the balance shaft sprocket It is like a movable washer on each side of the sprocket teeth. They can come out past the edge of the sprocket slightly when pushed to 1 side
