AGENTKB Hi guys im going to be refitting a cylinder head and chains. I can torque all the bolts on my head if they are 30nm or above but I cant do anything below. How critical is it on say the chain guide bolts or the auxiliary belt tensioner? as the sockets I have are long and will not fit due to lack of access.cheers
vocky the chain guide bolts would shear off at 30Nm  You only need to torque the cam bolts and the main chain tensioner, all the rest are either 'nipped up' (guide bolts) or extremely tight - crank sprocket bolt
vocky guide bolts are 10Nm this is the torque setting guide http://www.speedsterclub.nl/bibliotheek/technische%20documentatie/tis/Standard%20Information/Engine%20and%20Engine%20Aggregates/00031676-Torque%20Guidelines%20%28Z22SE%29.pdf
AGENTKB Thanks vocky, I think ill have to invest in a smaller length socket set and a needle torque bar for this.
