Daz86 Hi is there a breather in the oil filler cap . If there is should I be able to blow/suck through it ?? As I can't do eather on mine
Daz86 Turns out there is. split at apart and the rubber seal that the spring pushes down on was completely stuck. had to wiggle it free I made the outlet port a bit wider on the cap itself
Daz86 Was reading this thread lastnight https://z22se.co.uk/threads/dewismotorsports-astra-coupe.25659/page-15 . And you can sea the spring inside the one he has drilled so it got me thinking . Is there any way I can tel if it's genuine ?
evocarlos it will have a gm and part number on 🙂 drilling a hole in the pressure relief part of the cap is a good way to get oil dregs on the rocker cover and smell oil in the car 🙂
Daz86 Was thinking about the smell and oil on rocker lol(y) I've not drilled it tho just made the outlet a tad bigger and gave it a good clean and took a cupple coils out the spring 🙂
