Carl lives in Shropshire so a fair way from you I think (in fact another 100 odd miles further than I am to him). I didn't have any particular reason/problem for doing mine as it wasn't really noisy (even though Carl picked up the noise from the balance chain when I got there, lol). The only reason I did mine was purely the fact that VX recommend changing them at 100K and mine was only 10K off that so I thought I'd do it sooner rather than later. As I said, I would have had a go myself but with only a weekend to do it in and not even a driveway to work on I opted for getting Carl to do mine. I think that if you take your time, check each stage as you go and work methodically using the fantastic advice on here I'm sure you'd be able to do it. Having seen it done it does seem to be a case of being logical in your approach. Carl, having done so many now, could probably do it in his sleep whereas I would take probably a whole day to do it rather than six hours.
