Hi,
My Zafira 2.2 was registered in Oct 2005 and I've owned it for the last 8 years. In that time I've been plagued by fuel system problems and have had the regulator replaced 6 or 7 times and I'm now on my 4th fuel pump.
Each repair has been carried out by Vauxhall main dealers and each time I'm told I now have the latest version of the part only for it to fail again. Early repairs were done under warranty but over recent years I've been hit with huge bills replacing fuel pumps only for them to fail again in less than 2 years.
My car has a full main dealer service history and at 74k miles it is relatively low mileage for a nearly 10 year old car.
It is also only ever run on Esso or Shell fuel as I was told many years ago to avoid super market fuel.
The latest fuel pump failure occurred a couple of weeks ago so either I'm very unlucky or Vauxhall haven't actually resolved these issues after all.
Is anyone else still experiencing fuel regulator or fuel pump failures or are there any suggestions/modifications for avoiding further failures?
