Problem after egr clean

After a bit of advice please guys

Right ill start from the beginning. When i bought the car, the eml was on but didnt effect the running and as it was cheap i took a gamble lol.

Any way it turned out the egr was that clogged up it was stuck closed so cleaned it all up and got it working.

The problem i have now is when i first started it, it started first time but then cut out. That was the only time that happened but now although it idles fine it seems to pull back. No codes or warning lights by the way.

You could always use an EGR cheater and blanking plate. What do u mean by "pull back"?

as the egr was leaking the throttle position probably required adjusting by the ecu, so should be okay now

Cheers mate, it did seem a little better this morning. I might take the tb off and give that a clean as well

Im 99% sure you cant cheat the egr on the yh engine mate.

Dependent on what year it is I'm sure VX stopped fitting them to the YH engine at some point due to them being a lean burn engine. Only a few were ever fitted with them apparently.

All i know is mines a 04 and it has one lol

Well its not cleared up like i first thought. In fact its cut out twice at idle now ffs.

Should have left the egr and put some black tape over the eml light lol

Fair enough, I just remember reading somewhere that they were omitted at some point on the YH engine. Hope you get it sorted it thought mate.

I have a z22hy 05 whit egr I have delete the egr in software it is now running without the connector on the egr no error so I'am happy
if any one need egr off send me ori read from ecu ( need to be a 2mb file)
