Sorry this must be the dumbest question ever........ but how do u access the bolt that ive circled red. Trying to check the tension of the cam chain but am getting stuck at this point. Also cant remove the ground cable as its behind a metal bracket how do i get the metal bracket off. Car is astra g

you dont need to remove the hoist point to remove the cover

Ok thanx what about the ground cable as that seems to be attached to the cam cover?

take the bolt out from by the coil pack
1 m6 nut for the bracket
1x 13mm socket to remove the bolt holding the strap
there is also 1 m6 bolt further forward holding the bracket on

This is not my engine by the way lol. Have removed the M6 nut holding the earth strap. Just having trouble removing the bracket as labelled. Is the bolt circled in red the one that holds the metal bracket?? If so how do i get it out all wiring is in the way.........
