Alarm removal or disabling without loosing central locking function!

Both key fobs have finally given up the ghost. Tried the usual soldering trick which has worked for 5 years!
I removed the power sounder ages ago...

Is there any way of stopping the hazard lights flashing when I open the car as the alarm goes off silently.
Its very unlikely anyone will try and steal the car its 12 years old with and has been badly keyed its mechanically bombproof mind.

Basically is there any way of removing the alarm section of the car without disabling the central locking (as this still works with the key)? I am guessing not as its the same unit that controls both. Could I remove some wiring from it that <u>wouldn't</u> throw up a dash light, fault code or engage the immobiliser?

There sure is . Just unscrew the switch witch oparates the interiour lights when you open the drivers door .im sure it's a T20 torque bit . That disables the alarm altogether but central locking still works fine

You only need to remove the screw
