so i have an interesting one i am trying to do, iv fitted an aftermarket head unit to the car which had the cd70 fitted,
as expected the screen above is permanently on with what we last had on display. it also doesn't dim with the lights on now.
what i am after doing is adapting an sot lead so that i can run the stalks adapter into the after market and leave the quadlock end which fits into the cd70 unit in the glove box or passenger foot well so we can change the screen display and switch it off if required and ok any warning messages etc.
have i completely lost it or is this possible. not interested in any yes but why responses etc
unless there's a way of linking the aftermarket to the car so that it can control the screen which i doubt there is.
final question on the cd70 is the RGB cable used with the satnav only?
