hissing noise when engine not running z22yh 2.2 direct 57 plate Vec c

Help please got a 2.2 direct vectra c 57 plate car been standing ten 15 mins and noticed this hissing coming from inlet manifold area also every now and again u get smell of petrol in car when running any ideas what could b thanks in advance

Wonder if it could be something to do with the high pressure fuel pump or maybe an injector leak?

Would it still do it 10/15 mins after turning engine off tho as its doing it after engine turned off ??

Not sure, I don't know if the pump releases the pressure after the engine is stopped and the ignition is turned off or if it just keeps the pressure there constantly. The two may not be connected, i.e. the hissing and the smell of fuel, I suppose. Hopefully someone may happen along who has a better answer.

Hi have you had a new fuel pressure regulator I had a problem like that when I was putting the new one on don't think i tightened it proper also have a look at the valve on the top of the fuel pump with the black cap screwed on to see any leaks.

It's coming from the injector rail area around 2/3 injector area ish

Yes if you take the top cover off and have a look at where the Fuel Regulator is that's in between 2\3 injector try taking the regulator out and clean the surface then tighten it back up maybe worth a try.

Thanks for replys found that injector 2 has got a slight leak goner order the o ring service kit hopefully that will cure it if anyone no's that's the best thing to do or replace injector ???

Cheers Graham email sent to them what would u do just replace the injector or get the repair o ring kit for all 4 as there's only 4 pound difference in the kit and new injector ??

Probably go for the new injector I think there a bit awkward to get out but if it's only £4 difference for the seal kit you could do them all if you need to.
