Is it the newer megane? Mines a mk1 phase 2 I've just put clio 15in wheels on it and slammed it so it handles great lol
Astras are easy to modify tbh there's plenty of parts floating around and as it's a 2.2 you can look into supercharging it 🙂

I would like sum extra Bhp out of the astra I have looked into supercharging it might do at sum point

Same engine as mine but with variable valve timing.. and an electronic throttle I thought about fitting the engine and loom out of one of them but I want to keep my cable throttle as I want to make some homemade throttle bodies lol

Tbh there's not a great deal you can do to the 2.2 without spending loads of money... there's bits and pieces but you will only get 160 maybe 170bhp unless you start talking cams and the 2.4 manifold I saved up for the charger conversion as orthough it a fair chunk of money when you think you get 100bhp plus gain it's the best mod to do really..

I wouldent bother changing your engine . Yours is probs The better of the 2 as it does not have the VVT there prone to failing . So wouldent bother if I was you

What's the easy mods for the 22 to get it up to 170 ish . It's allready got stainless exhaust system I'm also going to remove the egr and fit a pannel filter . Is there any thing else ?

Ah I won't now I've rebuilt mine if I do anything now ill put a clio sport engine in it..

For 170bhp you will need to spend a fair bit of money tbh you could probably get 160bhp with a good exhaust panel filter deristricted airbox and a ported throttle body then a remap if your lucky it might get 170bhp anything more than that and it's a fair bit of money tbh cams and a manifold will be more than buying a supercharger kit.

if you want to be in the 170bhp area you will need cams and head work plus a remap to get fuelling correct.
cheaper to stick a super charger on and more gains.
could just go with balancer delete, head work, lightend flywheel, new exhaust manifold and down pipe with pre cat removed and sports cat. that will give a noticeable gain and be a good start what ever you do next.

Well bean sorting a long list of niggerly jobs out today on the astra . Came acros a good cupple of things drilled and groves discs all round and green stuff pads all round full stainless system cat bk (magnaflow) in good con .I think gsi skirts irmisher pedal covers and door lock pins and door sill trims

Such as coilovers rear 3 windows tinted .painted calipers red .led bulbs all round and a HID kit . and a big list of niggerly jobs still more to go wheels are next in BMW sparkeling graphite I'm thinking then bumpers re sprayed then a bloody good buff
