Vaux at Luton said that my vehicle wasn;t in the affected batch, and this has been backed up with a call to my local dealer (not the original dealer though!).
Being told once, could just be being mis-informed. Being told twice could just be coincidence. I'll ask the garage that serviced the car for the last five years and I'll ask vauxhall in writing.
