Wondering whether my runabout is dead now or not. Had a clatter noise a while back so I stopped driving it. A few months back I put a new cam and balance chain in. The the clatter noise started about a month later.
This time I took it apart again and discovered the timing chain was loose and it had skipped a few teeth. I have retimed it and put the chain back to the correct markings and ensured the tensioner is back in place correctly and the chain is tensioned. I turned it over by hand a few times and all seems good.
I started it back up and on idle its fine but some revs and the clatter gets louder and louder. I have attached a video.
Can anyone advise what I should look for or is it now time for the scrap?
