hi,
Was wondering if can help me. About 4 months ago i had the egr fault and ended up replaceing tb egr blanked and pre cat removed due to being stuck it the exhaust, exhaust manifold, intake air sensor and i got it working. All of a suden its started playing up again but differently to last time. The car runs and drives fine above 2000rpm, below however it seems to misfire almost. When i stop the car idles up and down and sometimes even cutting out. I am wondering if its the cts, as i have read about this in other posts, can someone please help me out ??

P1514 poped up the day when it cutt out but i reset it and it hasnt poped up since. But it still idles rough ?????

Does it idle ruff from cold or just when hot? CTS is a cheap part so worth replacing as a service item. Lambda doesn't start working till once it's warm after a couple of minutes.

When were the plugs last changed?

Yes just when it gets up to temperature, i havent changed plugs. Gunna see what this cts does first and if that doesnt work i think i'll try coilpack and spark plugs.

If it runs rough when warm once cts is changed that would point towards lambda sensor as that feeds the ECU with information regarding air fuel ratio

I'll let u know soon if the cts works should be here this week somewhen. Cant understand why it still doing it but no eml or codes have poped up ?

Ok news update i was driving home last night and realised a whining started off quite quiet but got alot louder car was down on power and was struggling to reach 40mph think it is somthing to do with exhaust, not sure i'll have a look today. Any ideas what it could b ??

Did the EML light come on ?

Yes it did. I have sorted this whining whistle noise out the gasket at the bottom of the exhaust manifold was leaking so i have fixed that. Ive fitted the cts, doesnt seem to of had any effect. But now when i rev over 2000rpm it cuts out almost straight away ive taken oil cap off and there is white stuff on it. White smoke comes out if u leVe it running, and smoke comes out of breather into intake pipe which may be causing it. Dont know realy annoying as its undriveable now. Help me ???

Yes i have a code reader the only code that keeps poping up is p1514 air flow to tp sensor

Hi update. Car only just manages to start now any revs and its cutts straight out. And will not start again for half hour or so. Any help would be usefull ????

Hi just to let people know some info. Turned out to be a blocked middle cat not the pre cat as i had removed the pre cat ages ago. I cut the middle cat in two smashed the cat out welded it back together and so far so good just a bit louder but runs perfect. Thank you for the infomation. Happy posting.
