Dave_Gilbert Its watchable but its not about cars any more. Back in the day they used to test real cars that we could afford. now its just how far can I drift.
HarleyPete Interestingly enough, I think that both apply, cars we will never buy being tested although interesting was pointless to the majority of us. Then the fact that they did muck about although funny, wasn't the idea of the show in the first place which in some way, detracted from the reviews. Maybe it's about time to have a show that actually reviews cars that most people could afford and may well drive. I never really watched it all that much to be honest, although I will catch old episodes on virgin now and again.

KevinH I used to watch Top Gear regularly, but gradually over the last few years I've lost interest more and more. I think they all became overgrown school kids and the programme involved insane ideas. Personally, I don't think Hammond and May will continue without Clarkson - but who gives a dam anyway ? 🙂
vocky it was good entertainment and not really a car show as such, Caravans, boats, bikes, trucks, buses and various other means of sillyness 😃 But I agree, top gear is dead. Whatever they replace it with will be PC correct and boring (n)

5M1THY I personally love watching it. Yes Clarkson is a dick and they are clowns but I don't watch it to see the mpg on a Ford focus I watch it because they hammer 3 cars that shouldn't be motd across the world doing stupid things that no other show would get away with doing. Fifth gear is a consumer program testing cars top gear is entertainment watching drifting pissing about and generally what a lot of people would do if given half the chance. On the other hand I can understand why people don't like it and he did deserve the sack for punching that dude even though he does look like a mummy's boy.
