my recently bought astra 2.2 sri fitted with a supercharger it came with 12 months mot and a logbook no service history, been off the road for about 18 months the lad I bought it of told me it had timing chains done, clutch and crank seal he also fitted the supercharger it had been to cs for the ecu to be mapped running stage 1 approx. 210bhp he also told me to he had payed £350 to cs for a stage 2 remap but needed a larger exhaust 2.5/3.0in he never got round to fitting he was going to forword the email to me but never received.
been throught the astra and this is what I found.
body work 7 out of 10 mainly scratch's rear bumper is quite bad.
drivers door drops when opening replaced with new door pins still the same new door needed.
only 1 key remote c/l not working when opened with door lock alarm go's off till put key in ignition new c/l remote needed and recode or a alarm ecu and c/l remote not sure if any mk4 will fit ?
headlights misty advisory on the mot.
wheels a bit kerbed but will refurb
drivers seat back twisted something has broke.
exhaust was blowing on the downpipe flexy I welded a new 1 in the rear section is a bit bodged will sort at a later date.
the engine runs ok but hunts a bit for about 30 seconds or so when started from cold then settles down when warms up the lad told me this because of the map its running ?
replaced the cone filter no foam left in the centre been ripped out !
crank seal pully end gone oil spraying everywere will replace.
no catch tank or breather fitted to rocker breather pipe, pipe just pushed in to a tin can.
no header tank for the cooling system on the supercharger the rad and pipework looks a bit micky mouse.
engine cooling system warning light is on properly due to the air con system has been totally removed.
thats about all issues that I know about properly be a few more.
any advice or info you guys have would be great will post some pic's of the astra as I bought it.
