Front Springs

Does anyone know if the SRi-T / GSi share the same front springs as our 2.2 I know the curb weight is similar.

I would say the sri turbo would be same

Whats the drop on yours carl? Ive order my my shocks just need a decent set of springs to raise the front up. So i can look for gsi springs?

-20mm lower than I think than standard, just bought new B4 shocks as mine have never been changed, decent GSI springs and some Febi top mount and bearings.

Should notice a nice difference with the B4 shocks over the standard SRI ones.

I thought there was no point paying for labour having them removed to do the same again in the near future, I am hoping they put a bit of freshness into the handling.

Should make a nice difference, especially with all the powerflex bushes and the rarb fitted.

All fitted and the ride is very smooth, only done 80 miles on the new B4 dampers , new top mounts and bearings and so listed GSi springs but it's still sitting a tad high compared to before.

Does a full new setup like this take time to settle or do we think the springs are not GSi ones.

Did u have the B4 fit on the rear as well? Just I'm going to order my new shocks really soon and I've seen quite a few complaining about the rear B4 knocking. Will u let me know how u get on bud as I want B4's all round just to save some dollars which I can put towards a RARB

I had B4's fitted on the rear a couple years back on standard SRi springs and a RARB never had any issues got a little knocking noise from the back now but I think it's something in the boot or one of the kids seats.

How much higher is it sitting? And is GSI standard springs or lowering springs?

It has settled a tad but still a couple CM higher than before, will try and get a photo in the day light.

The springs where genuine GM ones off a GSi I was happy with the height of the SRi ones I thought they where the same drop.
