Hello, My name is Saleem, i'm 15 years old and I live in Exmouth, Devon.

I am the happy owner of a MK4 astra, 2.2 SRI, however it does need an air filte, MOT and tidy up.

I Look forward to seeing other people's astras and seeing what you can do with this engine tuning wise! 🙂

Hi, i will be using this when I pass. I would like to turbo or supercharge but If I do that I can see insurance costs going from$$$$ To $$$$$$. Other than that, I wouldn't know what else to do... It has an aftermarket suspenion all ready, so maybe brakes and roll cage?

If I was you at 15 id get a mini or similar

2.2 astra will cripple you on insurance.

but nice to see a young lad interested in these brilliant engines.

Have to agree the @[deleted] it will cripple him even if it's possible to get insurance.
The best person to chat to would be @[deleted] he knows pretty much all there is to know about these engines.

Welcome to the site. As already mentioned, instuance is going to kill you at such a young age. Just enjoy the car, rather than trying to throw money at it.

thanks for the advice and welcome, I think i'll just get it running and then ring up an insurance company to get a rough idea on insurance cost, with and without mods 😃

Id say even at 17 you will be talking 3000quid without mods.
1.0 corsas at 17 are like 1100quid. But worth an ask.

That's is you can even find an insurance company that will insure you. I know some will not want to touch someone at that age with that powerful a car. Hopefully you'll be fine though even if it is extortionately expensive.
