Strange rattle

Hi just got strange rattle engine z22yh. Is no rattle and cold start engine runs smooth but then starts warming up starts rattle for a minute or less and stops itself. Then it's do then I put some revs is delay on rattle for second. Just was listen is sounds more it's comes from the back engine. Strange filling can't be chain will rattle all the time or on cold start. Even if I go to garage the will say nothing wrong with it. Sorry for my English not the best in the world.

Not sure but could it be an exhaust heat shield loose? I'm sure someone will come along and give you a better answer mines just a guess.

cracked exhaust manifold?? if you could do a video it may help

I will try then it's starts to rattle then I'm back home on busy road can't stop because is last for a minute will try tomorrow hope only maybe manifold 🙂

Well not sure about that but if I had to guess then I'd say that it sounds like the chains. Mind you, it's sounds a heck of a lot louder than mine did before Carl did mine.

Maybe best to take the cam cover off and have a look 🙂

Doesnt sound good. I would take the belt off and start it again. If the sound is still there, its then internal id say.

I know its strange it's rattle not all the time jus for a minute after mile or two and stop no rattle on cold engine in the morning need to have a look next week then.

I park car at work after 9 hours then I going home fire engine no rattle smooth start put some revs smooth then 4 5 minuts waiting get out from work jump in road no rattle when temperature gauge starts move up starts rattle like that for a minute till engine warm up to normal temperature and no rattle till home put revs engine runs nice and smooth. ..

It was cam chain tensioner failed plastic parts was damaged just lucky I'm. Bit expensive but car runs nice and smooth now. :cigar:
