Would appreciate some advice please.
Recently purchased an Astra 2.2 bertone. I noticed the temperature gauge sat between 80-90, it also is using a tremendous amount of petrol. I fitted a new gates thermostat yesterday and now the gauge is reading even lower than before.
I observed this morning with the heater control on hot and the blower fan on, the gauge nearly reaches 90, turn the blower fan off and the gauge goes down to nearly 80.
Also whilst driving the gauge never sits in one place it's up and down constantly.
I'm very confused.
