Signum newbie help!

Hey all I have a problem with my Signum already lol, keep getting cylinder 4 misfire, changed sparks and coilpack and injectors but don't know what else to do? Anybody got any ideas??

When the HP pump starts to die it can cause a misfire but it tends to be on #3.

Hp pump? This is number 4 and I just can't get rid of it I've had the car 3 weeks and it's been off the road for 2 of them :-(

HP pump = High Pressure Fuel Pump. Its a common failing on the z22yh to the point it was on BBC Watchdog. If you look at your fuel rail its bolted to that. The old one that fails is the Siemens on, the replacement pump is the Continental item.

hp pump is on the end of the cam
the fpr is on the fuel rail and another common failing part but mainly the pump

I stand corrected, I thought it ran off a plunger on a lobe from the cam like my old Nova so was offset. I take it its fitted to the end of the cam?

the z20nft runs from a fuel pump lobe 🙂
but the z22yh is driven from a key in the end of the cam like the vec b z22se power steering pump

Pump refurb on Ebay....£80 ish.
Get an Op Com or similar to read desired and actual fuel pressure readings.

I sincerely hope you haven't got cam chain issues....
My car showed exactly same problem.....cam chain had stretched/jumped.
Running perfectly now but cost me just under £900 all in...had to have the cylinder head removed to repair a ruined bolt hole.
What age and mileage???
Numerous people told me anything near 80,000 miles get the chains done.
