Now the charger on the car and running sweet I decided to turn my attention to some TLC jobs that needed doing on the coupe. I noticed when I bought the coupe that the bump strips are off a silver coupe as the original paint was showing on the bottom due to a :poop: paint job by previous owners. So I got a second hand set in black from torque motors for £15 🙂. So cracked on changing them over and was finding it one of the easiest improvements I've done to the car since owning it ooh how wrong that that turned out to be :banghead:. When I tried to take the the N/S/R quarter trim off I found out it was put on with a full tube a tiger seal and was a pain in the ass to get off, but after 20mins of blue mouth language filling the air it decided to come free. Then when I went to fit the new one I saw the plastic rail on the back was rusted and warped . So I logged onto ebay and found 2 more in black for sale so decided to buy both as they were only £10 each and would keep one as a spare, but when they arrived both where in really bad condition on the rail and wouldn't fit to the coupe. Now I'm on the hunt for any colour N/S/R quarter trim where the plastic rail in good condiotion then I can just get it sprayed.
While I wait to source the trim I now went and stripped both door cards in preparation of fitting new component speakers and replacement door lock latch on the passenger door and at least that went straight forward for now lol
