Guys I've hit a stumping block on the build the replacement ECU. Now I've had my ecu off and took note of all the numbers and letters off the back. I can find a few that match most of the numbers etc, but I can't find one that matches the circled below

The ones I can't match does it make a huge difference? I need the replacement ecu as I'm sending my original off for base map then fitting replacment to go down to carls. So who can shed some light on what I need to look for the correct ECU?! I do know its got to be off a astra but thats it.

Edit : In Picture I say I can't match DLTW but I can match it....Its just the big long one under the barcode I can't match.

Looks like that is the serial number so would be unique not sure about dltw, I would imagine and ECU from a astra should be fine though as long as you get everything key / ring transponder etc.

I've found a couple but like u mention bud does the serial number have to match? I thought as along as its off a astra with all 3 bits i be fine, but will i lol

the serial number will be different on every ecu 🙂

Well took the plunge and for the sake of £18.99 if don't work move onto another lol

so long as you get an ECU from an Astra with same spec as yours you will be fine.
as said you will need transponder and key chip with the ecu, then its just plug and play. 🙂

I'll test fit it when it arrives, if works ring CS to see what info they want off me for the base map then post it off. Only 3 weeks till install 😃

Yeah transponder chip and ecu

Weirdly my Ecu had the DLTW bit crossed out as well like the one in the advert

Evening guys.

Going to be changing my ecu over tomorrow. The main plugs into my ecu are really hard to pull off any suggestions on taking them off the ecu with ease? Also is straight forward to get to the transponder at the ignition barrel?

as you pull the metal lever upwards gently ease the sliding clip out of the back of the plug with a small screwdriver or pick. the transponder ring just clips on. think you have to remove lock barrel to get it off though?

be sure to pull the slider out all the way or they dont come off easy lifting the lever is only half the job 🙂

Quick update.....

Swapped over my Ecu and transponder to the spare set on Sunday all in it took 20mins to do. Even better feeling is when I went to start the car up after the swap over and first turn it fired into life :love:. Only problem I had was one of the corner mounts on my ECU snapped off 🙁. But apart from that it was a straight forward job 🙂.

Ecu now in the post and on its way to CS for the base map, then after that all that is needed is to pack the car and head down south 🙂.
