Wrap Tullet Manifold?

I was wondering whether to wrap my Tullet manifold.

I a little concerned that the engine bay and to a lesser extent boot temperatures have risen since fitting the manifold.

My reservations against wrapping are based on worrying that wrapping will increase exhaust valve temperatures. To a lesser extent cat temps might increase but this could be a good thing.

Does anyone have any sensible suggestions please

wrapping improves gas flow buy keeping the exhaust temps higher, also lowers bay temps. fiddly to do but power gains (very small ones) can be had.
did my x20xev 4 branch, no issues other than the smell when it was damp/cold start. (y)

it can be a good to wrap them, but it will move the heat further along the exhaust.

I usually modify the curved ends on the standard heat shield with a ball pein hammer, so that it clears the runners. Doesn't require much alteration.

Then refit the bolt studs direct to the cylinder head and hold the heat shield on with nuts instead, this spaces out the heat shield to clear the Tullet. You will probably have to redrill one of the two mounting bolt holes on the heat shield.

I flat out refuse to wrap any manifold! I have been doing drag racing for around 20 years and I have seen fires due to exhaust wrap, they collect all the spilt/leaking oil/fuel then it dries out in the end due to the heat..... not exactly what you want in your engine bay! don't get me wrong it's also due to the fact some people are lazy and careless with not fixing cam cover leaks etc...but still!

Ah so if I go ahead and wrap it imore likely the cat will suffer rather than the exhaust valves?

The cat should get hotter if it's holding the heat... valves shouldn't really be that affected unless the cylinder isn't clearing
