it can be a good to wrap them, but it will move the heat further along the exhaust.
I usually modify the curved ends on the standard heat shield with a ball pein hammer, so that it clears the runners. Doesn't require much alteration.
Then refit the bolt studs direct to the cylinder head and hold the heat shield on with nuts instead, this spaces out the heat shield to clear the Tullet. You will probably have to redrill one of the two mounting bolt holes on the heat shield.
