Hi just wondering if anyone has a idiot proof guide to fitting a new thermostat on my z22se astra Sri. Done a few in the past on vw but never on a vauxhall.

Right hand side of the engine near the back, take off two bolts and it's in there

Yep, you should see the heater matrix pipes going into it

Ok so new thermostat in and it's better but still not perfect. It's gets upto temp and blows hot air in the car. But when you drive it temp gauge sits between 80 and 90. Is this right? Should it sit bang in the middle?

Most sit at 90 degrees. I wouldnt worry to much. As long as your getting hot air in the car n not using water you should be fine
