Had a go at the throttle body porting and polishing today - as Andyroo said - quite theraputic  . Its my only TB so I didnt want to do a Mark Verboom 😃 , so on the engine side of the throttle body there was a lump- this has no interaction with the butterfly as you rotate it - but I decided not to get rid of this lump - is it safe to get rid and not end up with an error code?

the arrowed section in red is the bit I am talking about (the bit that Vocky noted as being a thin section of alloy).
Initially it revved up to 2000rpm then back down to normal, does seem to rev more cleanly now from low revs, but if I can get rid of this extra section then it will be better I think (barring error codes).
