EGR blanking for vectra b 2001

I heard about egr blankig, is it recommended to do?? what it is good for ??

it stops the throttle body and inlet getting full of soot from the exhaust

And stops the light coming on the dash ever again with the cheater.

Thanks for reply, but is it recommended to blank?? any improvement in MPG and HP??

no improvement but you gain with the blanking plate and cheater ruling out the event of the egr valve failing
and the inlet will stay free from soot, thats always a good thing 🙂
