Hi for every one,
This is my first conversation, I've 2.2 vectra b and I have a problem with it, while driving for a long time about 30 min' in a high temp' whether about 35c the engine shuts off!!!!:dead:, when I restart it...it restarts but after driving again for some min' it shuts off again...a mechanic asked me to change the catalytic converter so 1 month ago I changed the cat' with a new one but today it happened again..... any help please:happy:

very strange, something must be getting too hot.

Are there any fault codes stored in the ECU ?

is your cooling fan working or is the problem with the therostat

Thanks for replies but I have no check engine light & the cooling fan working fine, but I'm not talking about an engine over heat but it happens when the weather is hot about 35c, in a normal weather under 30c it doesn't happen.....:banghead:

i have a solution 🙂 move to the UK it never gets past 22c outside lol

do you have any way to do live readings ? you could record the feedback from the ecu then when it cuts off see what happened at that point of shutdown

yes, I have op-com & i'll try this way, but if I don't have check engine light will op-com show me a wrong data???(n)

when you save the data it would show like this

you could then scroll thru and see what parts are affected majolly and then determine whats the cause 🙂
