new bench for the garage

need to move some stuff around to make room
so i set about a new bench for the garage on this bank holiday weekend 🙂

steel stock
4 lengths of 25x25mm for top and leg supports
3 lengths of 30x30mm for the 6 legs

front and back of the top were made form 2 full lengths
sides were cut and then squared tack'd and measured thrice 🙂
its a squire as ""fuck it"" is to swearing

center supports made and the gaps calculated right lol
3000 - 50 / 3 = 983mm and thats what the gaps are between the slats 🙂

all welded top and bottom side

welds ground flat

next step the legs 🙂

nice i had a good tidy in my garage last night, my benches are my old kitchen work tops n worktops iv scavenged out of skips wile out on the hire at work

The only thing with more storage or workspace is you'll end up collecting more crap to store LOL I di the same in my cellar, bought some shelves and ended up filling them with more useless ebay car parts that i'll never use.

the benches are rammed with mini parts

i need to build some racking just for mini parts, you wouldnt beleive how.much space all the parts out of such a small car take up

all done and in place ive now got to shuffle things around again so i can get a car back in there lol

ive never had much free lol but there one thing i can guarantee with this one 🙂 it will take the weight of a few engines 🙂

its built to the same spec as the one in the bat cave thats had 3 engines on and the drill press

im not planning on having big heavy engines on mine, a pitbike or quad engine maybe but nothing rate big
