Well heres the new project which I picked up the other week.its a 54 plate with 82k on the clock.paid £1300 for it .almost fsh.completely standard apart from the miltek precat decat.
Plans for it are a cross over delete.a non resonated miltek cat back exhaust system .lower it a little .change the headlights for some shark eyes or similar and generally keep on top of the bodywork

So the mods have begun
Out with the manky tax disc holder and freshened up with the one out of the boost bus.only be in there for a few months when it all changes in october

Before and after with the handbrake and gear gators

New mats just need some clips

New flatblade wipers

And the aerial also of the boost bus

as in a crossover delete kit ,or the one that goes over the engine as it is now
am I right in saying that if I do the crossover delete ,that i'll need to get a 80mm afm from the vxr.if that is the case it then needs mapping to suit the 80mm don't it ,or will it still run ok

You don't need a 80mm MAF to do the crossover delete, but it would need to be mapped in if you fitted that at a later date

If you fit the 80mm maf it will need mapping in, but im sure you have to run the vxr injectors also.... but thats stage 3.5 territory.... which ull also need a exhaust and front mount to......

However, im not sure if they sell the crossover delete pipe to suit the 70mm maf, they may well do, but ive never looked into it.....

I thought the 80MM MAF was on the VXR, and needed the airbox opening up to accept it.

got any more info on that @[deleted] on what I need to run the standard maf

not planning on going into that territory @[deleted] ,haha says the man that was only going to put wheels and bumper on his Vectra and then supercharged it

I do have a spare 2.2 airbox .will have to look into it more

IIRC the 1.9 cdti airbox takes a 70mm MAF as standard, it needs opening up to accommodate the larger one. If the airbox has been modded for the 80mm one then you can get something like this so you can use the 70mm MAF:

You can get the above cheaper on ebay and cut it in half yourself

I've never used the 2.2 airbox so wouldn't know

So I found the 2.2 airbox bought the pipercross panel filter off shane and derestricted the airbox

So this morning seeing as my red breather hose turned up .I thought id fit it all.as the afm wire wasnt long enough ive had to cut the wires and lengthen them .first time soldering .didnt look too bad

And here it is all done .ive used the original pipework for now until I buy some red pipe
