Matt This doesn't work on most UK phones, as the firmware is locked to the handset by the Network Provider. I had to have mine sent off by Carphone Warehouse, and all they did was put a new install of the same version on. The network has to approve the new firmware from Nokia before it will allow it to be updated 🙁
Matt Yep, there is a big thing on the forums on the nokia website about it as well, because there is a nice new firmware out there which fixes a load of bugs, but our Network Providers (02, 3, Vodafone etc) won't approve it.
Daz The network specific firmwares have prob got little tweaks for that particular network on them i wud imagine...
Matt Finally!! I checked the Nokia update application, and there is now an update! Just done it now, and the phone is running soooo much better than it was before.
