you will need 2 1foot long 2x4 planks to place the head on
a set of parallel punches without the taper mine are draper metric set like these

a large 2 pound hammer and some patience 🙂
to remove the valve guide start by stripping the head of the cams/rockets/hydraulic lifters and valves the lifters can drop out on the floor when hammering
use the 6mm punch in the valve guide from the top and knock down into the valve pocket
my punch wont go all the way down the knurled bit stops it

i use the 3mm punch with tape on the shaft to make it up to 6mm then use it to drift the guide all the way out

to install new guides flip the head over place the new guide in the hole and use the 6mm punch to tap it in

this is where it gets tricky as you need to only let the guide protrude 11mm out the top for the valve seal a set of calipers helps quite a bit
