Chain Service interval.

Hi all, first post here, been over on the Cavweb for years, but thought I would come to the experts for this question 😉
I have a 2007 2.2 Direct Veccie Estate.
I've searched and I know it says 10yrs or 100K (assuming good oil) mine is on 80K, and has a tiny bit of rattle on start up, only for a second. I assume this is the tensioner getting up to pressure, is this an indication I need to do the chain or just tensioner soon ?

I would say the rattle you hear is an indication that the tensioner is not 100%. i would be thinking of getting the chains done rather than waiting till the car hits 100 000 miles . Better to just replace chains than paying for that and expensive work on a damaged cylinder head because your chain or tensioner has failed
