Vectra c sri 2.2 16v acts like a kangaroo when accelerating to 4th

Only had the car a little while. When working the box when you get to 4th is jumps around once in 5th issue has gone. Had new O2 sensor fitted recently any suggestions be greatly received.

What year is the Vectra? Will help us determine if it's a Z22SE or the Z22YH that is fitted.

I think its a z22se Matt as the SE is listed as a 2.2 16v in the literature where as the YH is just known as the direct but doesn't mention the 16v. Although being rev dependant could point at it being a YH???

Its not a Signum or Estate is it mattypows?

2003 so should be Z22SE then. Could be faulty / sticky EGR valve ?

For a relative novice is this something I can easily remove and give a clean? Would I need any specialist tools?

delete it, taking it off and cleaning it wouldnt necessarily fix the fault. but with a cheater and a blanking blate the fault is gone forever and also costs alot less than replacing the egr.

also deleting it is a easy job(im told) i havnt done it but will be close to removing and refitting a egr.

Would I remove the egr completely once blanked or leave it on and just blank it off? Are there any vids I can watch to give me a better idea?

he sells the egr cheater and blanking plate then that is gone forever.
