cav24v Was going to fit my racetube when I found the flexi on my cat is breaking up. I'm thinking of changing the cat myself to save a bit of money so two questions. 1 Do the nuts/bolts on the manifold usually seize and 2 Do the sensors usually seize in the cat. If yes to either or both I may let my local garage do it as they're good on prices & its much easier to do on a ramp anyway.
evocarlos 1, bolts on the manifold normally unscrew the stud from the head leaving the nut on the stud for the cost its easier to replace the studs and the nuts on refitting 2, they don't normally seize there just a bastard to get undone 🙂
cav24v Thanks. I might just leave it to the garage then,i'm not as small of as flexible as I used to be for crawling under cars. Need to get on the exercise bike, lol.
evocarlos get them to soak the manifold studs in penetrating fluid to help ease them out they have stud lock on them the only real thing with the sensors is the spanner needs to be a good fit or it rounds the corners
