2001 Astra SRI - Replacing Engine.. How hard?

I've had no luck over weekend with both my cars, Come to terms I'll scrap the BMW and replace the engine in the Astra.

Been looking on eBay and they're not cheap so first does anybody know someone who's selling a z22se?

But mainly, How hard is it to pull my engine out and drop another one in?

so did you take the cam cover off and check the chain ?
engines quite easy with the right tools 2 ways out the top or drop the subframe with the bumper and crash bar removed

Not yet, going out now to do it.. Just thinking it'll be easier to get a new engine.
