Dave_Gilbert cheers al have a look, I know a place in derby which isnt silly miles away(where wegot the sheets for my bosses garage around 5/6 years ago) im gonna ring them tomorow but a few messages tonight wont hurt.
Dave_Gilbert so went to doncaster today to collect some roof sheets, got box profile(a few seconds but good) there abit odd on the inside but thats not an issue, so got them home went to screwfix for tec screws and fitted the first 4 sheets, i only missed the lats once out of about 25 screws so not bad. then jack came to check that i was doing it right n not messing it up should have the mini in by the end of the week if im lucky n work doesnt get in the way to much.

Daz Tig welder is on my want list, along with a plazma cutter...... I.m still doing the shower room i started a few months back, an hour a night and it takes ages, just in the process of tiling the walls 9 boxs down 11 to go...

Matt I bet it was a bit twitchy doing the holes for the pipes in those on the back wall? I hate tiling as well.

Dave_Gilbert got it in its new house, n decided to start stripping it so all the arches off n all the bright work off the front and lights off. need to get engine out n front subframe out, but gonna do abit more research on that before i start chucking spanners at it.
Dave_Gilbert same engine that should be in it but slightly bigger, it should be a 998cc but its a 1275cc now, i might supercharge it as the new mini charger bolts onto the A series engine easy enough. but not sure yet as theres not much protection in a mini.

Awesome 🙂 I had one many years ago but had to let it go due to rot 🙁 but at least someone bought it to restore. My mate has a turbo mini but not sure on the spec a SC one would be brilliant.
Dave_Gilbert i had a metro turbo engine to bolt in that had a full rebuild n apparently bored out to around 1340/1380ccbrefore i bought it, i paid £50 for it off my father in law who buys stuff with good intentions n never gets round to it(so his loss was my gain) but ended up selling the engine £650 to buy a road quad, that i hardly used so sold that to buy the missis a corsa for our 10 year anniversary n teach her to drive. but really cracking on with the mini now. i thought best way out was lift the shell over the engine n subframe but every video i have watched on youtube etc its like 3/4 people doing it, i thought stuff that im doing it on me own . so engine n subframes getting a good pressure wash down tomorow then strip the engine from the subframe n start the subframe refurb n rebuild.
