Just finished this for a customer in Denmark for a rwd manta drift car pushing over 400bhp I'm told. (To his design brief)

Anyone else up to anything interesting project wise (other than your car)

iv got a few projects on at the min, im building a garage on my garden so i can bring my classic mini home n then get cracking on the mini, it hasnt moved since 2008:cry:

got loads of the garage build so far. its looking abit of a bodge in places(building it on no money so everything is reclaimed except the concrete floor) al upload some pics later on when im near the laptop, n the mini is a 1976 layland mini 1000. with a metro 1275cc engine deseamed and de bumpered in rover stone grey with a black roof with metal.flake

Sounds good, as long as it's water tight then that's fine. Mini sounds good, I got given a 87 mini but was far to rotten so I just sold it on

minis not bad, she wants a new front loom n front panels(i bent them) but shes not rotten like most so well worth saving

old angle iron roof supports for single garage(now panel next to door)FREE

all in all its cost £415, thats £400 for the base, £10 coach bolts to bolt the sections together and £5 for steel sheet next to door, i painted that in white hammerite(FREE) then covered it in soffit cladding(the council are doing all the roofs in our area so i borrowed a piece(y))FREE

the support is only temp at the min, it needs finishing(more welding and maybe painting)

im working on the front panels and the door this week(iv been building on my own after the first 15 sections went up, everyone seamed to not answer the phone any more) so iv been plodding along a section or 2 every day after work with a little help from the missis.(y)

I'm building a shower room on the landing atm.... landing used to be the bathroom before the extension on the house was built, so it was a tad large at 13ft x 12ft, will get some pics when i get 5..

Iill put my hands to anything that saves the pennys.... only thing i cant do is plaster,,,

same here, iv done kitchens, bathrooms built a few garages, restored a few classic campervans, iv just finished doing my bosses office/washing room, that went back to brickamd replastered, im good at mixing plaster but i ant tried plastering, but with what i watched of my boss doing the plastering is get it on as fast as you can and keep working it, the more it dries the less lines you get.

we bricked a door up then chucked some plaster board up then skimmed it up.

Been tempted to have a go on an old peice of platerboard and see how it goes..... trouble is, by time i buy all the gear and try it and fuck it up it be cheaper to get someone else to do it lol

if my boss can do it anyone can(hes not a plasterer) board n finish is cheap as chips, a bucket a plaster whisk for the drill, a drill and a trowel n a hawk give it a go if it looks shit rip it off(a walls not gnna cost much id say £20 in board n finish)

Got 2 wall that need plastering and 2 new ceilings....... the other 4 wall are gonna be tiled so can just tile straight to the p/b

ceilings didnt look fun, he was balancing on the washing machine and ladders n a bouncy castle fan, i was funny to watch, i think he got most of it on the floor.

i like anything like that, iv got to do mybathroom in the near future to make my sons bedroom.bigger, iv got a seperate toilet which is basiclly in his bedroom so got to have a move round
