Z22se dead spot

I have this ongoing problem where it seems to be when i have the accelerator pedal in a certian position the car goes to stall then picks up again more so when in traffic in first gear its as if the throttle closes for a split second then reopens it makes the car kangaroo and gives the driver behind a wake up call any one on here had any problems with the accelerator pot or any one got any other sugestions no EML light and ive just moved house and my lap top is in a box somewhere so diagnostics is out of the question at the moment

is this the common stumble at 2.5-3k rpm every z22se has ?
had it on mine for a while till i fitted an aftermarket panel filter and a cat back exhaust then it wasn't noticeable

Never really noticed the rpm ill keep a eye on it we have trouble at work with accell pots on the electric tugs getting a dead spot and the vehicle acts the same but you can check the readings on the computer im not too sure if the software i have allows me to check i need to go box hunting for my lap top

Dug my lap top out throttle percent climbes smoothly from 14% up to 100% the only thing i noticed is where it goes from partial load to full load it is about the same position i get the dead spot so im just wondering if a sensor or injector is on its way out but not enough for the ecu to pick up just yet if the head gasket was on its way out would the ecu pick it up straight away engine feels juddery aswell as in heads gone im gonna pull it to bits tomorrow and retime balance shaft because its imposible to time up with cam chain lol will keep yous posted
